Winzum Tech Radar: iPhone 12
Aside from all of the wonderful online competitions, one of our main goals here at Winzum is to create a genuine community, where you lovely lot can come to enter Winzum competitions, read out interesting blog topics, and also catch wind of organisations, artists and new pieces of technology that it could really be worth getting your hands on.
It’s that last point that led us to create the Winzum Tech Radar, a new series of articles that will focus on various bits of cutting-edge new technology. Last time we explored the range of products offered by audio experts Jabra [Winzum Tech Radar: Jabra], and this time we’re concentrating on the most highly-anticipated smartphone in the world – the iPhone 12!
What is the iPhone 12?
We don’t mean to be rude here, but if you haven’t at least heard of the iPhone, Apple’s revolutionary series of smartphones, then you must have been living under a rock. These phones ushered in a new era for mobile devices, finally cracking the tough task of creating a genuinely smooth and usable touch screen interface.
A dozen iterations later and Apple have unveiled the iPhone 12, something that promises to be the best smartphone to date. It is packed with new features such as next-gen 5G connectivity, and Apple have also upgraded the outrageously crisp OLED display too… It all looks very good indeed.
Why choose the iPhone 12?
So, why choose the iPhone 12? There are so many reasons for this, but perhaps the biggest one is that you will get the archetypal Apple user experience, with things like iCloud and the iOS interface providing an effortless smartphone platform. The new iPhone 12 also has an upgraded camera, whilst also coming complete with an amazingly clear new OLED screen.
The headline news about the iPhone 12, however, is the inclusion of Apple’s new MagSafe connector, a magnetic connection strip that allows you to attach things to your device, as well as enabling faster charging and added smartphone security.
What makes the iPhone 12 better than the rest?
But here’s the thing: in the ultra-modern world of 21st century smartphones what makes the iPhone 12 better than other competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G? Well, for starters, Apple have packed the iPhone 12 with a state-of-the-art A14 Bionic computing chip, making it the most powerful smartphone on the market at the moment.
Furthermore, the physical design of the iPhone 12 builds on the sleek and compact aesthetics of its predecessors, something that many people prefer to the bulky Samsung Galaxy range. There is also a lot of versatility with the iPhone 12, as it will come in a range of models, for example iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max and iPhone 12 Mini.
