What is the love language quiz?
So, first things first – what is the love language quiz? Well, it all comes down to the five proposed love languages: Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time and Physical Touch. Each one of these is said to appeal to different people more, and can give us accurate tools to understand our relationship with love and being loved.
The love languages concept is a fairly new one, having been outlined by Dr Gary Chapman in his 1995 book “The 5 Love Languages”. With this knowledge you can now start to understand what the love language quiz is – a quiz designed to show you what your own particular love language is!
How can the love language quiz benefit me?
As you can probably imagine, the love language quiz therefore can have some serious benefits, especially in regard to honing in the many complexities of romantic relationships. For example, taking the love language quiz together with your partner can alert both of you to things you may not have properly noticed before.
When you know each other’s love languages you may be able to interact with each other in a way that satisfies much deeper cravings, consequentially keeping the relationship as happy and healthy as possible. Don’t sleep on the love language quiz!
Where can I take the love language quiz?
It took a little while for Dr Gary Chapman’s concept of love languages to take off, however nowadays it is quite generally accepted and popular. As a result there are plenty of places to take love language quizzes online, all you have to do is have a Google!
The exciting world of Buzzfeed quizzes (which we explored here [a brief overview of buzzfeed quizzes]), has a few love language quizzes, for instance, and there are plenty more out there to sink your teeth into.
Should I take the love language quiz as gospel?
But here’s the thing: should you really take the love language quiz as gospel? Whilst it can be a genuinely useful tool, over at Winzum we’re also wary of basing such a complex concept on a simple online quiz.
The love language quiz can certainly help you notice things about yourself and your partner, but don’t get too carried away with it!
